Dear Dreamers,

Like Paulo Coelho once said, ‘you can’t be tamed.’ But I would also like to add, nor explained.

I’ve always had the imagination of a dreamer, the ongoing pull to another world, flowing through my veins like a need. I would like to say that I’ve always identified with you, even if it was myself who granted me the title.

Sometimes being one of you is viewed as a put down, like dreaming is unrealistic, pointless, or childish. But what if the majority of society is actually living in a falsely identified “reality” while the rest of us are truly living, breathing, dreaming? I don’t know why reality can’t exist without rules, bitterness, or a concrete structure. If what I live is a dream, don’t ever wake me up! And this goes beyond being abroad; I am constantly thinking of things, taking residence in another universe, or creating places of my own. But a couple years back my Father and I swore we would never “grow up” according to the world’s standards (Call it our own Peter-Pan-to-Neverland vow, if you will). We would forever be young, forever be among the dreamers.

Maybe it is thought of as aimless, or mad, to dream like this but I find that it gives my entire world a bit more sparkle.

Dreams are bound by nothing but their creator, out of reach from unwanted perspectives and ruled only by what it chooses, or what the dreamer chooses. This takes work, mind you. To discover the unthought-of.

Maybe too many people grow up, maybe there isn’t enough daring out there, maybe it’s just too risky to implicitly believe in the impossible. But how else are hopes born and wishes fulfilled?

Visionary, escapist, idealist, star-gazer, romantic, fantasizer, however you want to organize the alphabet to fit your need, you are the magic in this world.

Thank you dreamers for creating something that goes beyond words.

And thank you for being courageous enough to do so.

“First, think. Second, believe. Third, dream. And finally, dare.”

Cheers to the daredevils of the world.

Wherever you are, whatever you do, may there be no limits.
